Military Intelligence: Five Terrorists Arrested In Three Governorates


Baghdad: Security forces arrested five terrorists in Nineveh, Anbar, and Maysan. The Military Intelligence Directorate said in a statement: “In continuation of our offensive intelligence approach, and based on accurate intelligence information, continuous field monitoring, and precise ambushes, the Military Intelligence Division detachments of the (7th, 16th, and 22nd) Divisions, in cooperation with other security and intelligence agencies within the operations sectors, were able to arrest five terrorists wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article (1/4) of the Terrorism Law in the governorates of (Nineveh, Anbar, and Maysan). They were handed over to the requesting parties.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were the result of a concerted effort by multiple divisions within the Military Intelligence Directorate. The operation highlighted the importance of accurate intelligence and inter-agency cooperation in tracking and apprehending individuals linked to terrorism.



The successful operation underscores the ongoing commitment of Iraqi security forces to address and dismantle terrorist activities within the region. By targeting individuals wanted by the judiciary under Article (1/4) of the Terrorism Law, the authorities aim to enhance security and stability in the affected governorates.
