Baghdad: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced today the arrest of four drug dealers and traffickers, including a woman, during security operations carried out in the provinces of Baghdad, Anbar, and Maysan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operations were conducted separately based on accurate intelligence information and outstanding field efforts by intelligence detachments from the Intelligence Divisions of the 6th, 10th, and 22nd Brigades, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Departments in the concerned provinces.

The statement added that the suspects had arrest warrants issued against them under Article (28) of the Narcotics Law, and quantities of narcotics were found in their possession. The detainees were handed over to the competent authorities in accordance with legal procedures.
