Military Intelligence Nabs Drug Traffickers in Anbar


Anbar: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Thursday the arrest of three drug dealers and traffickers in Anbar province.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directorate stated that as part of ongoing intelligence efforts by its detachments across various operational sectors, three individuals involved in drug trafficking and distribution were apprehended. This operation was the result of meticulous surveillance and monitoring, based on confirmed intelligence. The arrests were executed by the intelligence and security departments of the 7th and 10th Infantry Divisions, in cooperation with relevant security agencies, in two separate operations.



The directorate revealed that quantities of narcotics and prohibited substances were seized from the suspects. It was determined that they were wanted under Article (28) of the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law. The suspects, along with the seized items, were handed over to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them.
