Nineveh: Detachments from the Military Intelligence Directorate conducted a precise, qualitative operation resulting in the arrest of several individuals involved in smuggling oil derivatives in the Nineveh Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate emphasized that the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle smuggling networks that deplete national resources and adversely affect the economy. The operation was executed following thorough field monitoring and tracking of the suspects’ movements.

The suspects were apprehended in the act and have been referred, along with the confiscated materials, to the competent judicial authorities for legal proceedings. The Military Intelligence Directorate reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the country’s resources and curbing all forms of smuggling and misuse of public funds.
