Baghdad: Minister of Communications, Hiyam Al-Yasiri, has directed the implementation of necessary measures to activate joint cooperation frameworks in preparation for the upcoming meeting of the Iraqi-Azerbaijani Joint Committee.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Communications detailed that Al-Yasiri chaired a follow-up meeting focused on the fourth session of the Iraqi-Azerbaijani Joint Committee. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, along with representatives from various Iraqi ministries and the private sector.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed to activate previously signed memoranda of understanding with Azerbaijan. The discussions also covered preparations for new agreements in several areas, including trade, culture, education, and financial and service transactions.
The Minister listened to feedback from ministry representatives to identify obstacles hindering progress. She directed that all necessary steps be taken
to expedite and enhance joint cooperation frameworks and prepare for the committee meeting scheduled for next July.
Participants expressed gratitude to Minister Al-Yasiri for her dedication to fostering cooperation with Azerbaijan and leveraging its expertise in areas of mutual interest.
