Baghdad: Minister of Agriculture Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari chaired the seventh session of the National Seed Council on Sunday, with the presence of the Administrative Undersecretary and ministry advisors. The session focused on strengthening the agricultural sector, particularly in relation to the work of companies and research departments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister received a detailed briefing on the agenda, and the attendees unanimously approved several important files and issues related to the seed sector. A number of letters and communications were also referred to the Council for approval and appropriate action.

During the meeting, the Minister urged attendees to continue their efforts to improve the seed sector. This includes supporting the work of companies and departments, as well as addressing obstacles faced by producers, especially in terms of financial entitlements, to bolster the agricultural sector and serve the national economy.
