Mosul: Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani emphasized the significance of the International Film Festival being held in Mosul, stating that it symbolizes the city’s resurgence in cultural prominence after enduring years of challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Badrani remarked in a statement that the involvement of artists and novelists from numerous Arab and foreign countries in the festival is a testament to Mosul’s cultural revival. He expressed pride in the restoration of cultural and artistic vibrancy at the core of Mosul.

The inaugural international film festival commenced today at the University of Mosul Theater. The event, organized under the supervision and patronage of Minister Al-Badrani, features extensive participation from Arab and foreign artists and writers.

Spanning three days, the festival will showcase a wide array of films from across the globe, with particular emphasis on works highlighting the history and culture of Mosul. Over 180 films, including Arab, foreign, and Iraqi productions, are part of the festival’s lineup.
