Nineveh: Defense Minister Thabet Mohammed Saeed Al-Abbasi has underscored the importance of maintaining security stability within Nineveh Governorate to ensure its residents can experience a sense of stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Defense Ministry released a statement detailing that Minister Al-Abbasi visited the headquarters of Nineveh Operations Command. He was welcomed by the Operations Commander and the Command Staff Officers upon his arrival on Saturday.

The statement further elaborated that a meeting was held immediately after his arrival. Present at the meeting were the Governor of Nineveh, the Operations Commander, the Staff Officers, and several security leaders from the governorate. During the meeting, an extensive briefing on the security situation in the governorate was provided, focusing on the efforts of the security services in establishing and maintaining stability.

Minister Al-Abbasi emphasized the necessity of sustaining security within Nineveh Governorate, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, urging precautions to prevent any disruptions that might spoil the atmosphere of this sacred month for the citizens of Nineveh.
