Karbala: Minister of Health Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi arrived in Karbala Governorate on Monday afternoon to oversee the implementation of the health plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a press release that upon his arrival, the Minister held a meeting at the Karbala Health Department with senior staff, including the Director General of the Karbala Health Department, Dr. Ali Mohammed Saleh Abu Tahin; the Director General of the Public Health Department, Dr. Riyadh Abdul Amir Al-Halfi; the Director General of the Inspection Department, Dr. Sabah Nouri Al-Khazali; the Director General of the Administrative, Financial, and Legal Department, Dr. Raed Ali Taha; the Director of the Operations and Emergency Medical Services Directorate, Dr. Fadel Agla Al-Rubaie; and several other relevant ministry officials. The meeting focused on monitoring the implementation of the health plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The meeting reviewed the progress of the health plan's implementation, the field readiness of health institutions, medical detachments, and emergency medical teams, and discussed mechanisms for strengthening support and coordination among health departments to ensure the continued provision of high-quality medical, treatment, and emergency services to pilgrims.
The minister emphasized the importance of continued coordination among all health departments, intensifying field efforts, and overcoming obstacles to ensure the success of the health plan and provide the best possible health services to pilgrims until the end of the Arba'een pilgrimage.
