Baghdad: The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Nouri, announced the formation of a joint working group aimed at investing in the primary resources and natural wealth of Anbar Governorate. The initiative seeks to enhance the industrial sector and promote economic development in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Nouri met with Anbar Governor Omar Mishaan Dabbous to explore opportunities for maximizing the use of the governorate's natural resources. The meeting aligned with the federal government's strategy to diversify income sources and strengthen economic growth. Both parties agreed to establish a joint working group involving the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and Anbar Governorate. The group will be responsible for developing a strategic vision for industrial investment in the region's abundant resources.
The discussions also covered the geological survey file, the current state of mining industries, and investment mechanisms in quarries and mines. The objective is to enhance the economic value of Anbar's natural resources, expand extractive and processing industries, and create a favorable investment environment. This initiative is expected to positively impact local development and generate sustainable job opportunities in Anbar.
