Minister of Interior and Iranian Police Commander Discuss Cooperation on Security Issues


Baghdad: Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari engaged in discussions with Iranian Police Commander Ahmad Reza Radan regarding cooperation in combating drugs and organized crime.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Interior outlined that Al-Shammari welcomed Radan and his delegation. The meeting focused on several key topics of mutual interest, prominently featuring cooperation in the fight against drugs and psychotropic substances. The discussions also addressed exchanging expertise and information in the realm of security to tackle prevailing challenges.



The statement further elaborated that the dialogue included cooperation efforts aimed at combating organized crime and terrorism. Additionally, there was an emphasis on developing technologies to create new opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries.
