Baghdad: Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari announced this evening, Saturday, the success of the security services in securing the Arab Summit, stressing that this achievement is a source of pride for the Ministry of Interior and reflects the extent of efforts befitting an event that only occurs every 10 to 15 years.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Shammari expressed his gratitude to the Rapid Intervention Forces, the Local Police, the Federal Police, the Traffic Department, and all branches of the Ministry of Interior involved in securing the 34th Baghdad Summit. He congratulated them on their success in ensuring the movement and safety of the delegations, highlighting the excellent organization as a source of great pride for the ministry.
Al-Shammari emphasized that the security measures were precise and distinguished, providing protection for the Arab leaders and delegations, driven by a high sense of responsibility from the Ministry of Interior personnel.
He further stated that the successful security operations during this rare event, which occurs only every decade or more in Iraq, are a source of pride for the leaders, princes, officers, and all branches of the ministry, reflecting the significance of an event of this magnitude.
