Tunis: The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, held discussions on cooperation in combating organized crime with his Egyptian and Qatari counterparts, as well as the President of Interpol. These meetings took place during his participation in the Council of Arab Interior Ministers’ session in Tunisia.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Interior highlighted that Minister Al-Shammari met with Egyptian Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and developing them to serve mutual interests. They also explored ways to enhance cooperation, joint coordination, and the activation of agreements related to combating crime in all its forms, including the exchange of information and expertise.

In a separate meeting, Minister Al-Shammari engaged with Qatari Minister of State for Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani. Their discussions revolved around topics of common interest, with an emphasis on en
hancing cooperation and joint coordination. Both ministers expressed their commitment to collaborating with all members of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

Continuing his series of meetings, Minister Al-Shammari met with Interpol President Major General Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi. The talks focused on joint security efforts and unifying strategies to combat crime comprehensively. They discussed enhancing cooperation and joint coordination between the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and Interpol, aiming to leverage capabilities in exchanging expertise and information.
