Baghdad: Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of training and capacity building with the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Carabinieri Forces, Lieutenant General Marco Menicucci.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Interior revealed that Al-Shammari met in his office with Lieutenant General Marco Menicucci and the Italian Ambassador, Nicol² Fontana. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation and joint coordination, particularly in training, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise.

During the meeting, the Minister praised the support provided by the Carabinieri Forces in training various departments within the ministry and emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise between the two sides. The guests acknowledged the Ministry of Interior’s efforts in the security and service sectors, highlighting the importance of joint work, especially in training initiatives.
