Minister of Interior Highlights Diyala’s Priority in National Security Plans


Baghdad: Diyala Governor Adnan Al-Shammari engaged in discussions with Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari regarding the comprehensive security situation in the Diyala Governorate. The meeting took place at the governorate’s office, where they deliberated on measures to enhance stability in the region and explored avenues for cooperation between the local government and the Ministry of Interior to bolster security and improve the security framework.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Diyala Governor underscored the significance of coordinated security efforts to maintain stability in the province and lauded the Ministry of Interior’s role in supporting local security institutions. Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari reiterated the ministry’s dedication to ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing security and combating crime, emphasizing that Diyala holds a special priority within the national security plans.



The discussion also covered the need to develop the infrastructure of security institutions, rehabilitate police stations, and improve security services for citizens. Furthermore, they addressed the necessity of equipping security forces with advanced tools to enable efficient performance of their duties.
