Minister of Interior Offers Condolences Following Fatal Traffic Accident Involving Police Students

BAGHDAD: In a solemn statement, Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari expressed his condolences following the tragic death of two Police College students and one student from the Police Commissioners Preparation Institute in a traffic accident on the Baghdad-Diyala road. The incident also left another student injured, highlighting the risks faced by those training for careers in law enforcement. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the accident involved a collision between three vehicles near the New Shatt district, southwest of Baqubah in Diyala Governorate. The crash resulted in the deaths of three students and injuries to five others, who were all from the Jalawla district and were attending the Police College and the Military College. The accident, which occurred on Friday evening, has left the community in mourning and raised concerns about traffic safety in the area. Minister Al-Shammari conveyed his deep sorrow over the loss of the students from Police College course (70) and course (10) at the Police Commissioners Preparation Institute. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased, calling upon Almighty God to grant them mercy and forgiveness. The Minister also expressed wishes for patience and solace for the grieving families during this difficult time. The unfortunate incident has drawn attention to the need for improved safety measures on the roads connecting Baghdad and Diyala, as well as the importance of ensuring the well-being of those training to serve in security roles. The community continues to offer support to the families affected by this tragedy as they navigate the aftermath of the accident.
