Baghdad: Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee for Million-Man Pilgrimage, Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, continued his field tours of the Arbaeen pilgrimage sites of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Minister’s office highlighted that on Monday, he inspected the eastern axis managed by the Iraqi army. The visit aimed to review the ongoing preparations to ensure the success of the reverse pilgrimage process with smooth operations and to provide an appropriate atmosphere within this axis, which includes the roads of the holy governorates of Karbala and Babylon.

The Minister instructed all checkpoints and traffic police to work professionally and prepare optimally for this process. He emphasized that the process should be given top priority, ensuring the implementation of the organizational and coordination plan for the reverse pilgrimage.

He further underscored the necessity of high-level coordination between all security and supporting agencies, urging unified efforts to secure the reverse pilgrimage process for Arbaeen pilgrims.
