Haditha: Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, inaugurated a new building for the Social Protection Department in Haditha District during his field visit to Anbar Governorate. This building is part of a series of projects aimed at strengthening the service and administrative infrastructure in the governorate, contributing to improving the services provided to vulnerable groups and beneficiaries of protection programs.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Asadi explained that this visit comes within the context of field work to communicate with the people, especially those who benefit from the ministry’s services. He emphasized that the visit to Anbar Governorate followed the results of the recent population census, which showed an increase in poverty rates, placing a responsibility on the ministry to redouble efforts to provide necessary support and improve the standard of living for citizens, particularly in affected areas.
He added that the opening of this building in Haditha District is part of a broader plan to strengthen the ministry’s service and administrative infrastructure. He noted ongoing work in cooperation with local governments to address living challenges and reduce poverty rates.
Al-Asadi emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination between the Ministry’s various institutions and bodies, and constant communication with local, legislative, and executive authorities to ensure that services reach those who deserve them effectively and fairly.
He indicated that the Ministry is continuing its efforts to expand the social protection umbrella and provide services to those entitled to them across Iraq, in coordination with local governments and relevant authorities. He explained that serving the people is the core of the ministry’s mission, and that every completed site serves the people in all governorates.
