Minister of Planning Engages in Economic and Investment Talks with Qatari Counterpart in New York

New york: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Mohammed Ali Tamim, engaged in discussions regarding joint cooperation in the economic and investment sectors with Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Qatari National Planning Council, in New York.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters. The discussions centered on bilateral cooperation in development planning, economic and investment development, and the exchange of technical and institutional expertise. The potential signing of memoranda of understanding was also explored, aiming to enhance partnerships, develop capacities, and create successful strategic planning models.

Tamim emphasized Iraq's commitment to strengthening developmental relations with Qatar by establishing sustainable partnerships in planning and development. He highlighted the importance of mutual benefit from shared experiences in creating national programs and plans.

Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, representing the Qatar National Planning Council, conveyed Qatar's readiness to provide technical support to Iraq and to broaden cooperation on shared interests, aligning with the development goals of both nations.
