Minister of Planning: The Development Path Does Not Conflict with Any Other International Project

Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning, Mohammed Ali Tamim, confirmed on Wednesday that the Development Road Project does not conflict with any other international project, but rather complements the global transport network. He noted that its management and security will fall under the authority of the federal government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the ministry said that Tamim chaired a joint meeting with a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government to discuss the project's route at the Iraqi-Turkish border and mechanisms for joint coordination.

The statement added that the meeting reviewed details of the route inside the Kurdistan Region and the connection points with Turkey, as well as the project's economic feasibility, which is expected to reduce transport costs and time, create job opportunities, and establish new industrial and economic cities along its path.
