Minister of Trade Discusses Joint Cooperation with Japanese Ambassador


Baghdad: Minister of Trade Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri discussed with the new Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Akira Endo ways to enhance bilateral relations. Al-Ghariri emphasized the discussions focused on enhancing and developing bilateral relations in the economic, trade, and investment sectors, highlighting the importance of exchanging experiences in areas such as technology and investment. He stressed Iraq’s commitment to strengthening these relations to serve the mutual interests of both nations.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the Minister proposed the establishment of a Japanese commercial, economic, and cultural center in Iraq to benefit from Japanese culture and pioneering experiences across various fields. The Japanese Ambassador responded by extending an official invitation to Minister Al-Ghariri to visit Japan to explore available trade opportunities and learn about Japanese innovations in various industries.



The Minister expressed his appreciation for the invitation, noting that a visit to Japan would contribute to strengthening trade relations and developing strategic partnerships between the two countries. The meeting concluded with both parties underscoring the importance of enhancing sustainable cooperation that benefits both nations.
