Salalah: The Minister of Transport, Razzak Muheebis Al-Saadawi, arrived in Salalah, Oman, leading a high-level ministerial delegation to participate in the Gulf Green Mobility Forum and the 22nd Middle East Transport Conference. The visit aims to foster bilateral talks with the Omani side to enhance cooperation across transport sectors between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Omani Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Said bin Hamoud Al-Maawali, alongside senior ministry officials and the Iraqi Deputy Ambassador in Oman, Ammar Al-Asadi, welcomed Al-Saadawi and his delegation. The Iraqi team comprises directors-general from aviation, maritime, and land transport sectors, as well as representatives from the General Company for Passenger and Delegation Transport and Iraqi ports.

Al-Saadawi’s agenda includes joint meetings with his Omani counterpart to explore prospects for cooperation and expertise exchange in land, air, and maritime transport. He will also partake in the official sessions of the Gulf Green Mobility Forum and attend the 22nd Middle East Transport Conference.

The visit will feature field tours of Salalah Port and the Free Zone, an overview of the Green Data Center, and meetings with Omani officials and business leaders. The Ministry’s statement highlighted the visit as a reflection of Iraq’s commitment to bolstering its regional transport sector position and learning from successful regional experiences to enhance infrastructure and foster new investment and cooperation opportunities.
