Ministerial Council for National Security Evaluates War Remnants Report


Baghdad: The Ministerial Council for National Security convened to discuss the report of the committee responsible for the removal of war remnants, highlighting the ongoing efforts and challenges in addressing this critical issue.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. Discussions focused on the overall security situation in the country, with a review of the agenda topics leading to the formulation of necessary decisions and recommendations.



The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al-Numan, stated that the meeting underscored the importance of the committee’s work in clearing war remnants, stressing the need for adequate resources to ensure the safety of citizens. The council also evaluated the Ministry of Interior’s progress in implementing electronic visa systems for expatriates, aiming to streamline and simplify entry procedures in line with legal standards.
