Ministries of Education in Iraq and Yemen Sign Executive Agreement for 2025-2028


Baghdad: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training of the Republic of Yemen have entered into an executive agreement spanning the years 2025 to 2028.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, this agreement was formalized during a joint press conference held in Baghdad, attended by Iraq’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, and his Yemeni counterpart, Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi. The agreement outlines the provision of scholarships to Yemeni students in Iraqi universities under the “Study in Iraq” program, covering various specializations. It also includes plans for exchanging experiences and implementing training programs between the two nations.



Minister Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi expressed appreciation for Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, highlighting the conducive environment provided for international students through the Study in Iraq program. He emphasized the importance of this collaboration in bolstering cultural exchange between Iraq and Yemen.
