Baghdad: The Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities has announced the commencement of online applications for loans from the Iraqi Housing Fund, which is set to begin on August 23 and will be open for four days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry specified in a press release that applications will open at 10:00 AM on the designated day for each governorate, as per the provided schedule. The process will operate on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated quota for each governorate is filled. Interested applicants can apply through the link: https://ihf.moch.gov.iq.

The Ministry clarified that applications will be considered complete only if the applicant submits the form and uploads the front cover of the required documents: National ID Card, Building Permit, and Property Deed. Any mismatches in the applicant’s data and documents will result in rejection. Moreover, the land area for applicants should be at least 100 square meters, with a building area of no less than 65 square meters. Applicants must be between 18 and 65 years old.

The Ministry also outlined that loans will be distributed based on cash availability and financial allocations. There are two types of loans available: one is for 60 million dinars in Baghdad and the provinces, which is interest-free, and the other is for the same amount but with a decreasing interest rate of 2%, repayable over 15 years.
