Ministry of Education Sets Date for Postgraduate Exam Results


Baghdad: The Ministry of Education has officially set the dates for announcing the results of the competitive entrance exam for postgraduate studies. The exams are a crucial step for aspiring students aiming to pursue advanced academic degrees in Iraq.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reported that a total of 42,179 applicants participated in the competitive entrance exams for postgraduate programs, including Higher Diploma, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees at all Iraqi public universities. The Ministry highlighted that there are 2,604 postgraduate programs available for application, which include doctoral, master’s, and higher diploma programs across both scientific and humanities disciplines.



Furthermore, the Ministry clarified that for the 2026/2027 academic year, the admission plan comprises 33,073 seats allocated across different admission channels. The results of the competitive exam are scheduled to be announced on July 5th and 6th, with preliminary acceptances to be published on July 12th via the official websites of colleges and universities. Accepted students are set to commence their studies on September 1st.
