Ministry of Finance Aims to Expand Cooperation with World Bank


Baghdad: The Ministry of Finance held a significant meeting to discuss expanding cooperation and supporting economic reform programs with the World Bank. On Tuesday, Minister of Finance Taif Sami met with Emmanuel Salinas Mu±oz, the World Bank Representative to Iraq, to explore areas of joint collaboration, specifically focusing on supporting economic initiatives and financing development projects.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions centered around strengthening partnerships in critical sectors such as energy, education, and health. Both parties emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination to implement financial and administrative reforms that align with the Iraqi government’s priorities and sustainable development plans.



Minister Sami expressed Iraq’s eagerness to bolster its relationship with the World Bank and to leverage its technical and financial expertise. In response, the World Bank Representative reiterated the institution’s commitment to supporting the Iraqi government’s efforts in executing reform programs and achieving economic stability.
