Baghdad: The Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday the commencement of salary disbursement for employees of the Kurdistan Region for May 2025, in implementation of Cabinet Decision No. 550 issued during the emergency session held on July 17.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry confirmed that the payments are being made following the Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to delivering the currently produced quantities of oil to the State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO), and its continued adherence to the stipulations of the same decision and the effective Federal Budget Law.

The Ministry also noted that the Region has delivered the first installment of non-oil revenues, amounting to 120 billion dinars, while relevant authorities continue to implement the remaining provisions of the decision.

The Ministry of Finance stressed its commitment to fulfilling its legal and constitutional obligations toward the Region, as long as the Kurdistan Government remains committed to implementing the Federal Budget Law, the rulings of the Federal Court, and the latest Cabinet decision.
