Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior has provided clarification regarding an assault on one of its members that occurred in Anbar.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that a video circulating on social media depicted an assault involving a member of the Emergency Response Brigades, who was off duty, and two other individuals. The incident was confirmed to be a personal altercation. The Ministry reported that the two individuals involved in the assault have been arrested and are currently detained. They are awaiting legal proceedings and will be referred to the judiciary.

The Ministry emphasized its unwavering commitment to enforcing the law impartially and maintaining a zero-tolerance stance on assaults against its personnel or any breaches of public order.
