Najaf: The senior undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior highlighted the necessity of boosting traffic deployment on the external roads leading to the holy city of Najaf during the observance of the death of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hussein Al-Awadi, Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, underscored the need for increased traffic patrols on the highways leading to Najaf Governorate. This measure aims to safeguard the lives of pilgrims and citizens during the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) death anniversary.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior noted that Al-Awadi, at a conference held at the Najaf Traffic Directorate, directed efforts to intensify traffic patrols on the highways leading to Najaf Governorate. The plan includes strengthening speed enforcement and installing radar devices in heavy traffic areas to curb violations and accidents, thereby ensuring the safety of pilgrims and citizens.

The conference addressed traffic preparations for the pilgrimage and discussed strategies to enhance traffic flow and road safety. Al-Awadi emphasized the significance of adopting preventative measures, dealing firmly with traffic violations, and enhancing coordination between traffic departments and security agencies to ensure the safe movement of pilgrims and reduce accidents.
