Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior affirmed on Friday that the Iraqi borders are experiencing a high level of security and stability. Major General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Department of Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior, stated in a press release that the success is attributed to the continuous efforts by the Border Guard Command and the support from various security formations.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Major General highlighted that monitoring and control measures along the border strip have significantly contributed to strengthening border security and reducing infiltration and smuggling attempts. He noted that these operations are being conducted with high efficiency, utilizing advanced security plans that incorporate modern technologies and effective field deployment.
Furthermore, Major General Miri mentioned that the Ministry of Interior is committed to further developing the capabilities of the Border Guard to ensure the protection of Iraq's sovereignty and security. He emphasized that border crossings are under strict monitoring and procedures designed to maintain the highest levels of security while allowing for smooth operational flow.
