Najaf: The Ministry of Interior announced today the successful implementation of the security plan for commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Maqdad Miri stated that the security plan, supervised by Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari and followed up by Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, was successfully executed. Miri expressed gratitude towards all contributors, including security forces, service agencies, the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, pilgrims, the Husseini processions, and various ministries and departments.

Miri also acknowledged the efforts of the people of Najaf Governorate for supporting the pilgrims and praised the media for accurately depicting the event. He highlighted that the security forces made substantial efforts to manage the large number of pilgrims visiting Najaf Governorate for the commemoration of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib’s martyrdom.

Security personnel ensured complete safety for the visitors, drawing inspiration from the path of Imam Ali (PBUH) and taking pride in their role during this significant occasion.
