Ministry of Labor Denies Cancellation of Social Protection Beneficiaries

Baghdad: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has firmly denied recent reports suggesting a decision to cancel the inclusion of certain categories of beneficiaries from the social protection assistance program. The Ministry stated that the document circulating on social media and various websites is forged and lacks any basis in reality.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry emphasized in a statement that no decision has been made to cancel the inclusion of any beneficiaries, nor have there been any amendments to the Social Protection Law or to the categories covered by the assistance program under current legal provisions. Additionally, there has been no decision to cut off or cancel assistance to beneficiaries.

The Ministry confirmed that social protection assistance remains intact and assured its continued disbursement to eligible recipients according to established legal regulations. The program targets families living below the poverty line, following approved targeting criteria.
