Baghdad: The Ministry of Oil has issued a directive prohibiting its officials from making any statements to media outlets and satellite channels. This decision, which aligns with the Minister's directives, emphasizes the necessity of controlling information dissemination due to work requirements.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry has mandated that all official statements or public releases of information are to be handled solely by the Ministry's official spokesperson, Salim Farhoud Hussein. This measure is intended to ensure that communication from the Ministry remains consistent and centralized.

The directive further outlines that any television interviews involving undersecretaries, advisors, and directors general will require prior coordination with the Ministry's media office and must receive the Minister's approval. This process aims to maintain a streamlined and orderly approach to media interactions.

Departments within the Ministry are instructed to ensure that their affiliated entities cooperate fully with the official spokesperson. They are required to provide him with any necessary data or information to support his role in performing media duties effectively.
