Baghdad: The Iraqi General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services has announced the conclusion of promising agreements with the Egyptian General Authority for Export and Import Control. These agreements aim to support trade cooperation and technical training between Iraq and Egypt, thereby strengthening economic relations between the two nations.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Trade’s media office detailed that Mustafa Al-Ani, the general manager of the company, made an official visit to the Egyptian Authority’s headquarters. He was accompanied by Riyad Al-Moussawi, Director General of the Commercial Control Department, and the Iraqi Commercial Attach© in Cairo. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the Authority’s work mechanisms and technical facilities, including inspection and audit laboratories.
The statement highlighted discussions between the two sides concerning the approval of mutual documents to facilitate trade exchange and enhance investor confidence. Additionally, they agreed to open new avenues for cooperation in technical training and expertise exchange, as well as to enhance joint coordination regarding international agreements that regulate trade.
