Baghdad: The Ministry of Transport announced the successful completion of transporting more than 17,000 pilgrims to the Holy Lands using Iraqi Airways. The transportation took place between May 4 and 28.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated that over 17,000 pilgrims were transported to the Holy Lands through 105 direct flights. These flights departed from various airports across the country and landed in airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This operation was part of a precise transport plan that was notable for its organizational and service efforts, achieving success without encountering any obstacles.

The ministry added that the transport process went smoothly due to the mobilization of all company personnel and the preparation of aircraft with technical and service specifications appropriate for the guests of God.
