Miri: Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Department of Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior, affirmed that “our border with Syria is the best fortified in Iraq.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Miri stated that the border fortifications with Syria were not a recent development. These fortifications were established years ago following a precise assessment of future needs by the government. He emphasized that the benefits of these efforts are being realized today, highlighting the border’s status as the most fortified in Iraq.

Miri also noted the significant support from the Minister of Interior over the past three years, who has been instrumental in backing the border forces, demonstrating notable interest in their reinforcement and overall support.
