According to Iraqi News Agency, Ministry of Defense spokesman, Major General Yahya Rasool, stated that there is no truth to the information circulating on some social media platforms and in the media regarding a large-scale withdrawal of the Iraqi army from military posts between Tuz Khurmatu and Kirkuk.
He further clarified that the recent military activities involved a redeployment, rotation, and maneuver of military units. Additional units were also used to reinforce some positions. These actions are part of the approved military plans and procedures and do not involve any withdrawal from military positions.
