MoH: The Country Entered Into A Third Epidemic Wave/ More

Baghdad The Ministry of Health announced that the country has entered a third epidemic wave, while indicating the continuation of the plan to increase the quantities of vaccines and vaccination centers.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, told the official agency (INA) today, Saturday, that “the new epidemic wave that entered the country is more severe and dangerous than the first and second waves that entered the country previously,” noting that the new wave requires focusing on prevention methods, the most important of which is placing masks and spatial separation, as well as vaccination.

He pointed out that “the Ministry of Health has started implementing an expanded plan that includes increasing the quantities of vaccines delivered and the number of vaccination outlets in Baghdad and the governorates.”

Al-Badr stressed the need to adhere to and seriously implement the instructions of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety, and called on all media and social networking sites to activate the dissemination of health education and awareness messages and to adopt solid scientific sources in transmitting information.

He stressed the role of religious, clan and community leaders and public figures in spreading a culture of health awareness about the Coronavirus pandemic and ways to prevent it, and calling for receiving vaccinations, especially the high-risk groups.
