Istanbul: Turkish club Trabzonspor announced Wednesday afternoon that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah had passed his medical examination, paving the way for his signing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the club stated in a press release: "Mohamed Salah underwent his medical examination at Acibadem Maslak Hospital, Trabzonspor's official sponsor."

Salah arrived in Istanbul earlier in the day to finalize his transfer to the Turkish club. A large crowd of Trabzonspor fans welcomed the Egyptian player upon his arrival. He appeared wearing the club's jersey, greeted the fans, and led the traditional chant, "Ya Allah... Bismillah," amidst a celebratory atmosphere.

Trabzonspor is expected to sign Salah to a two-year contract after completing the official procedures. The player is expected to travel to Trabzon in northern Turkey this evening, with the official signing ceremony scheduled for Thursday at Babara Park Stadium in front of fans.
