MOHE Introduces Electronic Signature to Bolster Document Security with 140 Digital Services

Baghdad: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the implementation of an electronic signature project, emphasizing its role in enhancing trust and security within government transactions. Additionally, the Ministry unveiled that 140 electronic systems and services are now part of the digital transformation initiative.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Amir Moussa, Director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry, highlighted the strategic advancement achieved through the adoption of electronic signatures. This milestone was reached in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and a licensed company. Moussa elaborated that the agreement comprises three primary services crucial for digital security infrastructure: a digital signature to authenticate signatories’ identities, an electronic seal for verifying the institutional origin of documents, and an encrypted VPN to protect data transmission among educational institutions.
