Tehran: Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni announced on Tuesday that more than 3.4 million pilgrims have left the country to participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Momeni stated that out of these pilgrims, two million have already returned to Iran. He emphasized the role of coordination with the Iraqi government, facilitated through joint meetings and agreements, in ensuring the smooth implementation and activation of border programs.
Momeni further mentioned that all borders between Iran and Iraq are secured by security forces, the army, and border guards. He confirmed that no security issues have been reported during this significant pilgrimage movement.
