More Than $45,000 Prepared for Smuggling Seized at Trebil Port


Trebil: The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of more than $45,000 prepared for smuggling at Trebil port.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the authority revealed that the Trebil border port directorate intercepted Iraqi travelers who were carrying $45,400 intended for smuggling, which contravenes the regulations set by the Central Bank of Iraq.



The authority further explained that the seizure was conducted in collaboration with the Customs Police station at the port. The travelers, along with the seized currency, were handed over to the Trebil Customs Police Station for the necessary legal proceedings.
