Mosul: The Mosul Municipality, in cooperation with the Committee for Removing Encroachments, launched a large-scale campaign to remove encroachments in the Mosul forest area. Committee member Ayham Mohammed told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): "The campaign focused on removing illegal structures built on the riverfront, which negatively impacted the area's appearance and environment."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the work also included removing stalls that obstructed pedestrian traffic and negatively affected the overall appearance of the forest.
