Mosul: Rehabilitation work on the Baroud Khana site in Mosul is ongoing, with a completion rate of 70 percent. The project aims to transform the site into a museum dedicated to the heritage of military weaponry-the first of its kind in Nineveh Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Head of the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage, Ali Obaid Shalgham, inspected the work stages during a field visit. He emphasized the importance of repurposing historical sites in a manner that preserves their heritage value while enhancing their cultural and tourism roles.

The project is being implemented through a collaboration between the Nineveh Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate and UNESCO, with funding from the European Union. It includes the establishment of a museum and a specialized library, contributing to the promotion of tourism and adding a new cultural destination to the city of Mosul.
