Motorcycle Owners in Diwaniyah Demand Return of Confiscated Bikes

Diwaniyah: Dozens of motorcycle owners organized a demonstration in the Clock Square in front of the Diwaniyah local government building to demand the Minister of Interior and General Traffic to return their motorcycles after they were confiscated during the security campaign against motorcycles violating the law.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the demonstrators gathered to express their grievances over the confiscation of their motorcycles. The protestors called on the authorities to address their concerns promptly and ensure that their vehicles are returned. They argued that the confiscation has impacted their daily lives, as many rely on motorcycles for transportation and livelihood.

The security campaign, aimed at curbing illegal motorcycle activities, has led to the seizure of numerous bikes. The protestors urged the government to differentiate between law-abiding citizens and those violating regulations, emphasizing the need for fair treatment.
