Motorcycle Theft Gang Dismantled in Babylon


Babylon: Anti-Crime Forces dismantled a three-member gang specializing in motorcycle thefts in Babylon. Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, Director of Media for Babylon Police, reported the successful operation that led to the arrest of the gang.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the gang was arrested after authorities received accurate information about several thefts occurring during the hours after midnight. A task force was formed, and surveillance camera footage was analyzed, which revealed the movements of the gang members coming from Abu Ghraq Road.



Brigadier General Al-Husseini explained that two of the accused were arrested red-handed in a well-planned ambush while stealing a motorcycle from in front of a caf©. The third member of the gang attempted to flee into the alleys but was apprehended after a pursuit. Another motorcycle, which he was trying to escape with, was seized during the operation.
