The MP of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Shirwan Al-Dobardani, confirmed that the nomination of Reber Ahmed for the presidency is an electoral merit.
Al-Dobardani said in a televised statement: “The election of the presidency is an electoral entitlement for the party, according to the 10-10 election data, adding that the 2018 scenario for electing the president will not be repeated.”
He continued: “KDP respected the Shiite and Sunni majority in their choices, and they should respect the Kurdish majority,” adding
The MPs of the party may submit their resignations if the higher leadership decides, indicating that the political forces have not resolved the ministerial portfolios and the dispute still exists.”
