Baghdad: Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement, expressed his regret over the decline in the quality of education, describing it as a “negative social phenomenon that should not be ignored.” Al-Sadr called for first identifying the causes of this phenomenon and then finding solutions to bridge the gap between students, their schools, their lessons, and their academic development.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sadr cited several reasons for this phenomenon, including social media, poor student-teacher relationships, bribery, and other issues. He also offered a number of suggestions, including establishing targeted educational media channels, launching a campaign to rebuild and reconstruct schools, and other proposals.
