Nabih Berri States Ceasefire Decision Delayed Until Post-US Elections.

Beirut: Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri confirmed on Friday that the ceasefire decision has been postponed until after the US elections. Berri remarked that the current political movement aimed at resolving the crisis would not proceed until after the electoral process in the United States concludes, which is scheduled for next Tuesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Berri revealed in a press statement that the Zionist Prime Minister had rejected the Lebanese roadmap, which was developed in conjunction with US envoy to Lebanon, Amos Hochstein. Berri expressed reluctance to predict the future course of the crisis, emphasizing that the postponement of political actions remains the only certainty until after the US elections.

Berri further noted that the situation in Lebanon continues to depend on developments on the ground, expressing concerns about the potential for Lebanon to become another region of conflict akin to Gaza. He also mentioned that Hochstein has not reached out since leaving
the Zionist entity, despite a prior commitment to return if there were positive developments.
